About Whack-a-Mole: rules and how it works
Whack-a-mole is a fairground and arcade classic: moles pop out of holes at random and you have to bop them before they duck back down. The idea could not be simpler, but it takes focus and quick reflexes, which is exactly why it hooks kids and adults alike, whether you want to kill a few minutes or see who in the family can rack up the most points.
In this version the board has nine holes in a 3 by 3 grid. Press Start and you get 30 seconds. Every 0.8 seconds the mole jumps to a new hole, one at a time, and every clean hit is worth 1 point. Misses cost nothing and there are no lives; the clock is all that matters. When time runs out you see your final score and can go again to beat it.
